Pre-Law

Students considering law school should seek guidance from faculty members on choosing rigorous academic courses that will prepare them for law school, finding internship placements, and for help locating places to gain experience with practicing attorneys. Many faculty and staff members that have attended law school are also willing to share their personal experiences and help students determine whether a career in law is a good fit considering their interests and abilities.

LSAC GPA Calculation Update

Law School Admission Council (LSAC) will change how they calculate GPA for the 2027-28 law school application cycle

LSAC will no longer include grades from college-level courses completed while a candidate was in high school in the LSAC GPA calculation.

This change will help law schools better evaluate law school readiness as part of a holistic application process.
